The Oxford is the most recognisable English classic with its timeless design. It is the most popular dress shoe of the modern gentleman, a must have in any men’s wardrobe. The design of the Oxford is equipped with closed lacing, for a discreet and formal look.
Straight out of the box, the first thing to do with your suede shoe is to apply a “suede protector” spray. The preemptive spray will partially water proof your shoes and keep a lot of the dirt and stains from sticking to them.
To maintain your suede shoe it is best to regularly brush them with a suede brush. Brush them while dry, do not press to hard and always in the same direction to keep the nap uniform. For more persistent stains that wont come off with the brush, use a suede eraser. Apply a light pressure.
To revive your suede shoe, use the steam from a kettle then brush the hairs with a rubber suede brush.
HOW TO STYLE
The Oxford is part of the collection of footwear style that every discerning gentleman should have in his wardrobe. The classic dress shoe is perfect for any formal occasion from black tie to office wear.
CONSTRUCTION & LEATHER
The Cordoba is available in four different models: cognac calf, dark brown calf, black calf and suede brown. The calf is the finest selection of leather from a French tannery. As for the suede, it was handpicked in Italy to only select un-split skins, ensuring the durability of the suede.
The Cordoba is Goodyear welted by our expert craftsman, just like all Casa Fagliano shoe, and finished with a bark tanned leather sole. Our leather soles are hand-stained and waxed to protect from the elements, they are endowed with a “gentleman’s corner” to prevent your heel from getting caught in your trousers cuffs.
The Balmoral oxford has five blind eyelets intertwined with waxed cotton laces. The elegant details of the dress shoes use twin rows of stitching for a hint of texture.
