The Chelsea boot was originally designed for the Queen Victoria upon her request, she wished to have a riding boot that would also be suitable for walking. The boot was designed to be easily slipped on and off, with elasticated side panels and a pull tab.
Nowadays, the equine boot has stepped out of the country side and invited itself into the city life of the modern gentleman.
The Mendoza is designed with high ankle and a narrow leg opening to make the look of the Chelsea even sleeker. The last of the Mendoza was based on the classical Casa Fagliano polo boot with a diamond toe shape and more room across the forepart, well adapted for wider feet.
